130th Charity Fairy – Jeongyeon
Congratulations to Jeongyeon as being CHOEAEDOL’s 130th Charity Fairy. To celebrate Jeongyeon’s debut 8900 days, ONCEs on CHOEAEDOL have voted 58,049,483 hearts and helped Jeongyeon to become our 130th Charity Fairy. This is her very first time becoming our Chairt Fairy, and it is a fabulous to celebrate this occasion and welcome her back once again. ₩500k ($440) will thus be donated to charity in the name of Jeongyeon. Welcome Back Jeongyeon
2020 was not an easy time for Jeongyeon, as she suffered from a herniated intervertebral disc and later anxiety, thus forced her to take a break from all activities from summer 2020.
However, on 31st January, we finally could welcome Jeongyeon back, as she joint other members performing in the 30th Seoul Music Award.
“It has been a long time since we all perform together. Thank you to all the fans who have always supported us,” said Jeongyeon when she talked about her feeling.
Twice is a group that never shy away from talking about their own struggles, as other members such as Jihyo and Mina have openly talked about their mental health. By doing so, this not only allows fans to understand more about their idols as it is always not easy to share something this personal, but it also helps raising necessary awareness in the public of mental health.
Thank you very much to members of Twice for the courage and bravery to talk about their own struggles, as they have set a good example for others to follow. We wish for Jeongyeon and other member of Twice to be happy and healthy in the future.
So, what is Charity Fairy? and what is with the donation?
The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy throne.
To honour the Charity Fairies, we donate 500k KRW in the name of the Charity Fairies. You will see the Donation Certificate within 2-3 weeks of the announcement on our Twitter.
