Ong Seongwu got this third Charity Fairy title on his birthday yesterday, August 25, as his fans, WELOs, voted for him on CHOEAEDOL. He received 79,223,681 votes yesterday and by getting more than 55,555,555 votes, he has become a Charity Fairy.
As becoming a CHOEAEDOL Charity Fairy, CHOEAEDOL is going to, in the name of Ong Seongwu, donate ₩500k (USD 440) to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities.

825 Thousand Won Every Wednesday
To celebrate Ong Seongwu’s birthday on August 25, Ong Seongwu’s fan cafe Ong Only You has decided to donate to the Miral Welfare Foundation throughout the whole of August.
From the beginning of August, Ong Only You has donated, on every Wednesday, 825 thousand won, to the Miral Welfare Foundation. Yesterday was the last Wednesday of August, and in total, they have donated 3.3 million won.
Miral Welfare Foundation is going to spend the 3.3 million from the fan cafe to help children from lower-income families, the elders who live alone, and those who were affected by hard of hearing and visually impaired.
“To celebrate Ong Seongwu’s 27th birthday in a meaningful way, members from the fan cafe have made a donation together,” representative of Ong Only You said, “we are happy to be able to share the positive energy we received from Ong Seongwu with our neighbor in need.”
An official from the Miral Welfare Foundation also said, “We would like to thank Ong Only You for the support, and the donation would be used transparently.”

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
