This was their third month in a row being our CHOEAEDOL Charity Angel. Congratulations to EXO and everyone from EXO-L. Last month we asked whether EXO could continue their momentum, and they surely did.

EXO has extended their lead at the top this month with 2994 points, 24 points ahead of BTS (2970 points). MONSTA ranked third with 2920 points. We also welcomed two rookie groups ENHYPEN (2909 points) and TREASURE (2869 points) to our top five.

Chanyeol’s return to the big screen

Last month we talking about D.O.’s movie plan in 2021, this month we will talk about another member from EXO who is going to return to the big screen later this month.

After 5 years, Chanyeol is going to return to the big screen, featuring in Korean director Yang Jungwoong’s movie The Box alongside with Actor Cho Dal Hwan. This is also Chanyeol’s first movie in 5 years. The Box is a busking road movie about the busking adventure of Chanyeol’s character Jihoon, who can only sing with a box and Cho Dal Hwan’ character Minsu, a producer who believes success is everything and embraces a live-or-die-by-style lifestyle. As a movie about busking, presumably the main point of it would be the song selection. As far as we now, songs such as Coldplay’s A Sky Full Of Stars, Mariah Carey’s Without You, Pharrell Williams’ Happy, Chet Baker’s My Funny Valentine, Louis Armstrong’s What A Wonderful World and Korean songs such as 매일 그대와 and 맨발의 청춘 would be featured in the movie. EXO-L must be looking forward to Chanyeol’s acting and his charming voice.

Okay. What is Charity Angel?

Every day, after the voting time (until 23:30 KST), the rankings are arranged and the person who became the first in the daily rankings gets 100 points, and the second gets 99points, 98 for the third, and so on. All these points are accumulated for 30 days until the 10th of every month, the day before the Individual Charity Angel announcement. The person who gets the most votes becomes the Charity Angel of that month. When Charity Angels are settled and announced on every 11th of the month (for the individual idols, for groups its 16th), 500k KRW is donated to charity organizations. In a few days, Charity Angel for the groups will be announced.

New reward for the winner of charity angel from 2021

Starting from January 2021, Charity Angel rewards will be added~ No only donating to charities in the name of the winner, we will also hang a subway billboard for the Charity angels! For instance, this is the subway billboard ad of our February Charity angels.
