121^st CHOEAEDOL Charity Fairy – J-Hope

To celebrate #HappyBdayHobi #HappyBirthdayHoseok #HappyBirthdayJHOPE, fans around the world have gathered 185,481,720 hearts (votes) for J-Hope on CHOEAEDOL and thus successfully help J-Hope to become our 121^st Charity Fairy. KRW ₩500k (USD $410) will be donated to the charity in the name of J-Hope. This is J-Hope’s first time becoming CHOEAEDOL’s Charity Fairy. Congratulations to J-Hope and his fans.

Giving Others HOPE

Just like the way J-Hope always introduces himself, “I’m your HOPE, You’re my HOPE”, J-Hope does give HOPE to the needy all the time. Not only speaking up about social issues with other BTS’ members, recently on his birthday (February 18), he has donated KRW ₩150,000,000 (USD $135,000) to Child Fund Korea, a charity dedicated to providing financial, physical, and emotional support for children with mental and physical difficulties. According to a statement provided by Child Fund Korea, J-Hope stated that not only he wants to help the needy and children with disabilities, he, through his donation, would like help shedding light to and raise awareness of children with disabilities. The charity has also stated that J-Hope’s donation would be directed to help funding the caring cost, tuition fee, and to cover the cost of necessarily facilities for child with visual and hearing impairment.

This is not J-Hope’s first time donating to this charity, and in fact, he is a long-time donor and one of the donors who have donated more than 100 million won to Child Fund Korea since 2018. The chairperson of Child Fund Korea believes that with the donation done by global star J-Hope, not only could help the society to focus on children who are going through difficulties, his positive influence would also leads to donation inquiries from both domestic and foreign ARMY. The charity promises to do its best to provide all-round support to children from lower income households.

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy throne.
