540th Charity Fairy – Kihyun

November 22 was Kihyun’s birthday, so MONBEBE celebrated his birthday by voting and helping him to become the number one male solo artist on our daily rankings! He received 58,775,741 votes on November 22. It was way more than 55,555,555 votes, which is our Charity Fairy threshold, Kihyun has received his 3rd title from CHOEAEDOL. Congratulations again 🥳
Subsequently, CHOEAEDOL is going to make a ₩500k donation to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities, in the name of Kihyun. From May to July, the donation is going to be used for Ukrainian refugees. Since this August, the donation is going to be used for Myanmar students whose education system collapsed in a military coup last year.

On August 22, Kihyun entered the training center to fulfill his mandatory service as an active duty soldier. Before his enlistment, Kihyun shared a photo of his newly cut hair and left a message for his fans saying, “I’ll be back.” Kihyun is now the fourth member of MONSTA X to enlist, following Shownu, Minhyuk, and Jooheon. Shownu has already been discharged from the military and is currently engaged in unit activities with Hyungwon.
Before joining the army, Kihyun took 4 cut photos for MONBEBE! YouTube content has uploaded as well 🙂

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
To honour the Charity Fairies, we donate 500k KRW in the name of the Charity Fairies. You will see the Donation Certificate within 2-3 weeks of the announcement on our Twitter.
