422nd Charity Fairy – Jisoo

January 3 was Jisoo’s birthday so BLINKs celebrated her birthday by voting and helping her to become the number one solo female artist on our daily rankings! She received 59,788,274 votes on January 3. It was way more than 55,555,555 votes that our Charity Fairy threshold. Jisoo has received her 9th Charity Fairy title including her 422nd Charity Fairy from CHOEAEDOL so far.
Subsequently, CHOEAEDOL is going to make a ₩500k donation to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities, in the name of Jisoo. From May to July, the donation is going to be used for Ukrainian refugees. Since this August, the donation is going to be used for Myanmar students whose education system collapsed in a military coup last year. From this September, the donation is used for vulnerable groups and handicapped child in South Korea.

Solo Debut
BLACKPINK finished the tour in North America where they will perform 10 shows in seven different cities across the United States, Canada, and Europe. BLACKPINK will perform the 2022 World Tour “BORN PINK” in Asia, and Australia.
Jisoo posted some pictures with a sweet message to show appreciation and gratitude to BLINK. She said “This year, for BLINKs who always gave me happiness for all the birthday wishes, and I thought of wanting to have a happy birthday too, so how was it? If a lot of people had fun and were happy on my birthday, I think it would be a more meaningful day for me, and as the beginning of 2023. Thank you so much everyone for all your birthday wishes, I will do my best to be Jisoo who can show you a lot of better performances this year. Thank you, everyone!”.
On January 3, Jisoo just opened a YouTube channel as her gift for blinks as she promised that she will make a Europe vlog. Jisoo launched her own YouTube channel, which she plans to use to donate all proceeds to charity. Subscribe and like on her channel now!
YG Entertainment announced that Jisoo is set to make her solo debut this year. Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album. While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time to keep the promise to fans.

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
To honour the Charity Fairies, we donate 500k KRW in the name of the Charity Fairies. You will see the Donation Certificate within 2-3 weeks of the announcement on our Twitter.
