369th Charity Fairy – Ong Seongwu
Happy birthday, Ong Seongwu! Also congratulations on winning the 4th Charity Fairy title from CHOEAEDOL. Shout out to Seongwu and WELO. #HAPPY_ONGE_DAY
August 25 was Seongwu’s birthday, and WELO celebrated the special day by voting and helping Seongwu to become the number one solo male artist on our daily rankings! He received 62,890,708 votes on August 25. It was way more than 55,555,555 votes than our Charity Fairy threshold. Seongwu has received his 4th Charity Fairy title including the 369th Charity Fairy from CHOEAEDOL so far.
Subsequently, CHOEAEDOL is going to make a ₩500k donation to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities, in the name of Seongwu. From May to July, the donation is going to be used for Ukrainian refugees. Since this August, the donation is going to be used for Myanmar students whose education system collapsed in a military coup last year.
It seems like WELOs are going to become one of the most passionate fandoms on CHOEAEDOL this year. We are so grateful to see WELO supporting Seongwu using CHOEAEDOL! It was Seongwu’s birthday, so he uploaded the [Moment of Choice] video on Youtube. He chooses one option between two options that he would rather have. He prepared lots of things for WELO. Seongwu also wanted to show appreciation and gratitude to WELO. WELO felt so overwhelmed because Seongwu uploaded Youtube content for WELO.
Today, August 26, ‘Seoul Vibe’ is released worldwide on Netflix. ‘Seoul Vibe’ will take place during the Seoul Olympics of 1988, as drivers become involved in a fund investigation on the day of the opening ceremony of Olympics. With the city’s focus elsewhere, the crew of young drivers use their drifting skills to move illegal funds. Can’t wait to see Seongwu in the movie ‘Seoul Vibe’!

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
To honour the Charity Fairies, we donate 500k KRW in the name of the Charity Fairies. You will see the Donation Certificate within 2-3 weeks of the announcement on our Twitter.
