83rd Charity Angel – BTS
BTS is Charity Angel of August, with topping CHOEAEDOL’s 30-days cumulative chart. Congratulations to BTS and ARMY!
ARMY helped BTS to continue their win streak of Charity Angel with 2987 points.
Subsequently, CHOEAEDOL is going to make a ₩500k donation to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities, in the name of BTS. From May to July, the donation is going to be used for Ukrainian refugees. Since this August, the donation is going to be used for Myanmar students whose education system collapsed in a military coup last year.
BTS continues achieving the Charity Angel special thanks to ARMY. But this is not something that it can take for granted. Without continuous and passionate support from ARMY, this would not happen. However, becoming a Charity Angel is no mean feat. Charity Angel is always a tight one and it is no way to be complacent. BTS held onto first place in the last 30 days with 2987 points, with EXO trailing behind in second place with 2983 points. MONSTA X came third in 2924 points. TXT has come back to fourth with 2899 points. Finally, we had ASTRO in fifth place with 2875 points.

The long-awaited collab track, Bad Decisions with Benny Blanco, Snoop Dogg, and BTS’ vocal members – Jimin, Jin, V, and Jungkook was finally released on August 5. Bad Decisions is hot on iTunes right now as it is on the global chart. Right after its release, the song shot up to the top of the charts.
J-hope performed at the finale act at Chicago’s annual Lollapalooza show on July 31. In doing so, the rapper became the first Korean artist to headline a major U.S. festival. J-hope’s Lollapalooza set included songs from his newly released solo album Jack in the Box such as MORE, Pandora’s Box, Equal Sign, STOP, Safety Zone, What If, Arson, Music Box, and Future. Also he left fans surprised with performances on Baseline, Cypher Pt1, Hangsang, P.O.P., Blue Side, Dynamite (Tropical), Daydream, Ego, Hope World, Just Dance, and Chicken Noodle Soup.
The show, which premiered on July 22 in select countries, will feature V hanging with a group of fellow South Korean stars, including rapper Peakboy, Soundtrack #1 actor Park Hyung-sik, Parasite actor Choi Woo-shik, and TV star Park Seo-joon. The four-episode series will follow the group as they spend a few days chilling in the woods and will air on Disney+ worldwide after it first airs on Korean TV network JTBC.
It seems RM’s solo album will be dropped soon! According to RM, his studio work is like 90 percent done. ARMY is awaiting the solo album of RM, and there is strong speculation that there will be an announcement soon!

Okay. What is Charity Angel?
Every day, after the voting time (until 23:30 KST), the rankings are arranged and the person who became the first in the daily rankings gets 100 points, and the second gets 99points, 98 for the third, and so on. All these points are accumulated for 30 days until the 10th of every month, the day before the Individual Charity Angel announcement. The person who gets the most votes becomes the Charity Angel of that month. When Charity Angels are settled and announced every 11th of the month (for the individual idols, for groups it’s 16th), 500k KRW is donated to charity organizations. In a few days, Charity Angel for the groups will be announced
New reward for the winner of charity angel from 2021
Starting from January 2021, Charity Angel rewards will be added~ No only donating to charities in the name of the winner, we will also hang a subway billboard for the Charity angels! For instance, this is the subway billboard ad of our July Charity angel.

CHOEAEDOL is an Idol Ranking App where fans get to vote every day for the Idol rankings. You can vote hearts that is freely given every day or that you can earn through various routes (receiving from the CHOEAEDOL friends, posting some images or schedules of your idol, clicking surprise heart boxes, etc.)
Apart from that, CHOEAEDOL also heavily involved in charity, by make donating on behalf of idols. CHOEAEDOL ‘s donation amount has reached 250 million KRW (200,000 USD). Come rank your idol to a higher place and participate in good action at the same time.
