Congratulations on j-hope’s 10400 days and winning his 8th CHOEAEDOL Charity Fairy. Shout out to j-hope and ARMYs!

Aug 9 was j-hope’s 10400 days, so ARMYs celebrated releasing his new album by voting and helping him to become the number one solo artist on our daily rankings! He received 65,468,335 votes on Aug 9. It was way more than 55,555,555 votes, which is our Charity Fairy threshold, j-hope has received his 8th title from CHOEAEDOL.

Subsequently, CHOEAEDOL is going to make a ₩500k donation to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities, in the name of j-hope. From May to July, the donation is going to be used for Ukrainian refugees. Since this August, the donation is going to be used for Myanmar students whose education system collapsed in a military coup last year.

Lollapalooza

J-hope released his new solo album ‘Jack In The Box’ on July 15. The album represents j-hope’s own musical personality and vision as an artist! This album includes 10 songs: “Intro,” “Pandora’s Box,” “MORE,” “STOP,” “= (Equal Sign),” “Music Box : Reflection,” “What if…,” “Safety Zone,” “Future,” and “Arson.” 

J-hope performed at the finale act at Chicago’s annual Lollapalooza show on July 31. In doing so, the rapper became the first Korean artist to headline a major U.S. festival. J-hope’s Lollapalooza set included songs from his newly released solo album Jack in the Box such as MORE, Pandora’s Box, Equal Sign, STOP, Safety Zone, What If, Arson, Music Box, and Future. Also he left fans surprised with performances on Baseline, Cypher Pt1, Hangsang, P.O.P., Blue Side, Dynamite (Tropical), Daydream, Ego, Hope World, Just Dance, and Chicken Noodle Soup.

So, what is Charity Fairy? and what is with the donation?

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.

To honour the Charity Fairies, we donate 500k KRW in the name of the Charity Fairies. You will see the Donation Certificate within 2-3 weeks of the announcement on our Twitter.
