EXO is our first boy group Charity Angel of the year 2022, with them topping CHOEAEDOL’s 30-day cumulative chart. Congratulations.
EXO-L helped EXO to continue their win streak of Charity Angel with 2988 points.
Thus, for the first time in the year, CHOEAEDOL is going to make a donation in the name of EXO. We are doing to donate ₩500k (USD 440) to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities.
EXO continue their win streak thinks to EXO-L. Without continuous support from EXO-L, this would not happen. However, the competition for boy group Charity Angel is always a tight one and it is no way to be complacent. EXO held onto the first place in the last 30 days with 2988 points, with BTS trailing behind in second place with 2982 points. MONSTA X came third in 2933 points. TREASURE was in fourth place with 2897 points. Finally, we had Stray Kids in fifth place with 2882 points.

Best Soloist
Last week, Gaon Chart published their data of albums sold in the last ten years, and EXO Baekhyun was the number one soloist in the past 10 years.
According to the data from Gaon Chart, 2.65 million copies of Baekhyun’s solo albums were sold in the past ten years. Gaon Chart is a record chart website that tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs or albums in Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
During that period, Baekhyun has published three solo albums, including “City Lights” in 2019, “Delight” in 2020, and “Bambi” in 2021. Particularly, his second and third albums both reached the million-seller millstones.
As the group, EXO came fourth in the group categories chart, recording 14 million albums sold in the last ten years.
Okay. What is Charity Angel?
Every day, after the voting time (until 23:30 KST), the rankings are arranged and the person who became the first in the daily rankings gets 100 points, and the second gets 99points, 98 for the third, and so on. All these points are accumulated for 30 days until the 10th of every month, the day before the Individual Charity Angel announcement. The person who gets the most votes becomes the Charity Angel of that month. When Charity Angels are settled and announced every 11th of the month (for the individual idols, for groups it’s 16th), 500k KRW is donated to charity organizations. In a few days, Charity Angel for the groups will be announced
New reward for the winner of Charity Angel from 2021
Starting from January 2021, Charity Angel rewards will be added~ No only donating to charities in the name of the winner, we will also hang a subway billboard for the Charity angels! For instance, this is the subway billboard ad of our November Charity angel.
