255th Charity Fairy – Onew
Veteran singer and actor Onew from SHINee has won his first CHOEAEDOL’s Charity Fairy on his birthday, Dec 14. Congratulations.
Yesterday was Onew’s birthday, and Shawols, SHINee’s fandom, celebrated Onew’s birthday by voting him on CHOEAEOL. Onew, at the end of the day, received 56,099,076 votes and, with more than 55,555,555 votes, he has become CHOEAEDOL’s Charity Fairy for the first time.
Thus, also for the first time, CHOEADOL is going to make a ₩500k donation, in the name of Onew, to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities.
Onew is the second member from SHINee to become a Charity Fairy. Congratulations. Also thank you Shawols for supporting your idols via CHOEAEDOL. Birthday boy Onew is staying busy nowadays.
Earlier this month, he has started filming Lotte Entertainment’s first short-form content, 4 minutes and 44 seconds.
The project is an experimental one, composed of eight 4:44-long videos. The episodes are going to be based on materials closely related to daily life in residential apartments.
In the video, Onew is going to play a character who suffers from the noise from his neighbor every day.
While continuing to dive into acting, Onew has published a duet song with female singer PUNCH.
The song, titled Way, is about the emotions of looking at the same stars in the night sky even being separated.

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
