241st Charity Fairy – Kihyun
Congratulations Kihyun of MONSTA X as he won his first CHOEAEOL Charity Fairy title on his birthday, Nov 22.
After his fellow groupmate, Minhyuk won his first Fairy title earlier this month, it is Kihyun’s turn to win his title, as MONBEBE, once again, voted their idol on his birthday on CHOEAEDOL. At the end of the day, Kihyun received 67,154,581 votes from his fans and thus become CHOEAEDOL Charity Fairy.
Hence, CHOEAEDOL, in Kihyun’s name, is going to donate ₩500k to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities.
Congratulations to MONSTA X, Kihyun, and, of course, MONBEBE, as one more MONSTA X member has become a Charity Fairy. MONSTA X is back with the new mini-album No Limit.
In the showcase held last week, MONSTA X members updated us with their works and share their thoughts about this album.
“With a busy schedule to go through as a group, I am also working hard individually,” said Kihyun, “I have released a cover song recently. I have done some photoshoots. Hope I will be able to come back with something good soon.”
Kihyun’s fellow members also talked about their works recently. For instance, Minhyuk, CHOEAEDOL’s 230th Charity Fairy, who just wrapped up his radio show, said, “Lastly I have worked on some web content with Hyungwon (referring to their collaboration in the Youtube series “Kimchi Universe”). Individually, I am working as a fashion model, I was also a radio host. Just recently I put down some of my individual duty and try to focus and work hard in our group activity.”
Joohoney summed up by saying that even though not everything is done in public, everyone does work hard individually.
Talking about that album itself, Kihyun explained the meaning of the album title, No Limit. He said, “even though it is limitless, we are loyal to our own colors and our own path, to express our unique identities in a competitive world.”
After finishing promoting this album in Korea, MONSTA X would be flying to the US to take part in Jingle Ball, the largest year-end show in the States, while at the same time promoting their second English full album THE DREAMING.

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
