231st Charity Fairy – SUPER JUNIOR
Veteran K-pop boy group SUPER JUNIOR celebrate their 16th debut anniversary last week, and they have also won their very first Charity Fairy title on CHOEAEDOL, with the help of its fans, E.L.F.
E.L.F helped SUPER JUNIOR to become the number 1 K-pop boy group on Nov 6, their 6th debut anniversary. The fandom voted for their idol of that day and in the end, SUPER JUNIOR received 94,056,516 votes. With more than 55,555,555 votes, they have become CHOAEDOL’s Charity Fairy.
This means, in the name of SUPER JUNIOR, CHOEAEDOL is going to donate ₩500k to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities.

SUPER JUNIOR-D&E
As SUPER JUNIOR celebrates its 16th debut anniversary, SUPER JUNIOR-D&E, the sub-unit consists of Donghae and Eunhyuk, also celebrates their 10th anniversary.
Last week both members have spent their time talking to the press in an online press conference.
“It is an emotional comeback,” said Eunhyuk, “because it is not easy to have a unit lasted for 10 years.”
“I never thought the subunit would go this far, so it is very meaningful. I did not know we’d be together for 10 years. I didn’t know we’d be going this for such a long time,” Eunhyuk continued, “I wanted to make more music and content to communicate with fans.”
The title track of their latest album COUNTDOWN is ZERO.
“I wrote the lyrics,” said another member Donghae, “I found my pure passion for my dream, and I wrote the lyrics with the thought of finding that feeling again.”

“I thought I should be very careful when marking a song,” Donghae talked about the meaning and the weight of the album.
The album COUNTDOWN also carries the meaning of the new beginning of SUPER JUNIOR-D&E.
In the end, D&E finished the press conference, said “We have been really busy working this year. It was a non-stop year. We worked very hard. However, it is sad that we couldn’t meet our fans, and it feels empty.”

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
