71st Charity Angel – EXO
EXO once again secured a CHOEAEDOL Charity Angel title as they have topped the 30-day chart tallied according to the result of our daily chart. With 2993 point accumulated in the last 30 days, they became our 71st Charity Angel.
Just like our Charity Fairy, we celebrate the event of a new Charity Angel every month by donating ₩500k (USD 440) to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities in the name of our Charity Angel. As EXO is our latest Charity Angel, the donation is going to be made in EXO’s name.

EXO continue their streak with 2993 points with BTS trailing at second place with 2975 points. TREASURE, who just celebrated their 1st debut anniversary, came third with 2922 points. On tvN’s show, Kai opens up himself and talks about retirement.
In the show 우도주막, Kai joins force with actress Kim Heeseon, singer Tak Jaehoon, model Teo Yoo, and comedian Moon Se Yoon to run an inn on Udo island, a small island near Jeju island.
In a recent episode, the crew, including Lee Seokhoon from SG WANNABE as the part-time staff, spends something talking to each other after work.
After listening to actress Kim Heeseon talking about her debut, Kai, rather emotional, talked about he thought about his future.
“Usually people said an idol’s life only lasts 5 to 7 years,” said Kai, “it usually doesn’t last for 10 years, but EXO was now in its 10th year.”
Veteran artist Lee Seokhoon expresses his affirmation, said “we are pretty much the same. Mine lasted roughly 13 years.”
Kai then continues, said, “I thought about retiring at 29 years old when I was 20 years old.” Lee, answered Kai, said, “but now that you are 28, don’t you think you will be the same until 38? I am 38 years old.”
Other members also shared their thoughts on this topic. comedian Moon Se Yoon said, “It is not easy. It is going to be really hard when you age.”
Kai, in the end, asked Tak Jaehoon whether he thought about retiring. Tak Jaehoon answered, “there is no retirement, but naturally fading out. How can someone hold on to time? We all living our own lives.”
Okay. What is Charity Angel?
Every day, after the voting time (until 23:30 KST), the rankings are arranged and the person who became the first in the daily rankings gets 100 points, and the second gets 99points, 98 for the third, and so on. All these points are accumulated for 30 days until the 10th of every month, the day before the Individual Charity Angel announcement. The person who gets the most votes becomes the Charity Angel of that month. When Charity Angels are settled and announced every 11th of the month (for the individual idols, for groups it’s 16th), 500k KRW is donated to charity organizations. In a few days, Charity Angel for the groups will be announced
New reward for the winner of Charity Angel from 2021
Starting from January 2021, Charity Angel rewards will be added~ No only donating to charities in the name of the winner, we will also hang a subway billboard for the Charity angels! For instance, this is the subway billboard ad of our July Charity angel.
