174th Charity Fairy – Rosé
Congratulation Rosé of BLACKPINK for becoming CHOEAEDOL’s 174th Charity Fairy. On her 8900 days, BLINKs celebrated the special occasion by contributing their hard-earned hearts to help Rosé to become the number one female idol on CHOEAEDOL. In the end, Rosé gained 58,668,934 hearts. By surpassing the threshold of 55,555,555 hearts, Rosé has become CHOAEDOL’s Charity Fairy, thus, in the name of Rosé, we will donate ₩500(USD 440) to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities. This is Rosé’s fifth time becoming our Charity Fairy. We are happy to see BLINKs’ supports towards Rosé, other BLACKPINK members, and the group as a whole. This is Rosé’s 5th time becoming CHOEAEDOL’s Charity Fairy, second most among members of BLACKPINK. Congratulation to Rosé once again, and thank you to all the BLINKs for your support.
BLACKPINK THE MOVIE
As Rosé and her fellow members of BLACKPINK are going to celebrate their 5th debut anniversary in just a little more than a month, they have dropped a video on their official YouTube channel, hinting at a 4+1 project.
The 4+1 Project, carrying the meaning of the four members of BLACKPINK plus their fans BLINK, includes five parts. It is consisting a movie and four projects that haven’t been announced.
The movie, titled “BLACKPINK THE MOVIE” is going to premiere in Korea on August 4th, four days before their 5th anniversary. The movie combines BLACKPINK’s performances from their live stream concert “The Show” (2021) and their 2018 concert “IN YOUR AREA”, “to provide a vivid live experience for the audience as if they are actually at the concert scene”, according to their 5-anniversary website. The movie is also going to feature previously unrevealed scenes of BLACKPINK.
Apart from the domestic release, the movie will also premiere in over 100 countries worldwide. International BLINKs can participate in global ticketing starting from June 30th.
As mentioned above, this movie is only one part of BLACKPINK’s 5th anniversary project. As we get closer to August 8th, we expect to know more about the 4+1 Project in its fullness.
So, what is Charity Fairy? and what is with the donation?
The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
To honour the Charity Fairies, we donate 500k KRW in the name of the Charity Fairies. You will see the Donation Certificate within 2-3 weeks of the announcement on our Twitter.
