172nd Charity Fairy – Shownu
Congratulations to MONSTA X leader Shownu for being CHOEAEDOL’s 172nd Charity Fairy on his birthday, June 18. As on Shownu’s birthday, Monbebe helped Shownu to become the number one boy idol in CHOEAEDOL’s daily chart, by contributing hearts they have gained on the app. Shownu received 57,061,046 hearts on his birthday, and this helped him to become CHOEAEDOL’s Charity Fairy. Thus, in the name of Shownu, we will donate ₩500(USD 440) to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities. This is the first time Shownu becoming Charity Fairy. We welcome him to join the ranks with our Chairt Fairies in CHOEAEDOL. Doing Well
It is unfortunate that MONSTA X Shownu couldn’t join his fellow members in their last comeback as he is recovering after his eye surgery. However, knowing about how Monbebe would be missing him, he and MONSTA X are keeping on updating their fans, reminding fans that he is doing well.
Particularly Monbebe must be happy to see the two videos MONSTA X uploaded lately.
The first video is a black-and-white solo fancam video of Shownu dancing to GAMBLER, MONSTA X’s latest title song. In the video, Shownu is being seen dancing alongside supporting dancers. It seems like Shownu never loses his sense, even though he is focusing on recovering.
Monbebe would be even more ecstatic when seeing MONST X in their full form, as a dance practice video was uploaded on their official YouTube channel of Shownu plus his fellow MONSTA X members.
Finally, Shownu also left a message to Monbebe just before MONSTA X’s comeback through a news interview.
In the interview, Shownu said even though it was sad that he was not able to be on the stage during this comeback, because his fellow members were doing well, he was feeling great more than sad. He also believed that through this promotion, MONSTA X were able to look cooler, and they were able to feel more proud of themselves.
In the end, he also told fans to look forward to new content that will be released in the future.
Surely, Monbebe would be relieved that Shownu is doing well.

The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
