June is finally here, and that means summer is also here. In Korea, summer not only means sun but also rain, as we are also welcoming the monsoon season. This year, it is being predicted that the monsoon season will start at the end of June. Nonetheless, whether it is sun or rain, June is always a rather romantic month, as Charles Morgan has once said, “there are moments, above all on June evenings, when the lakes that hold our moons are sucked into the earth, and nothing is left but wine and the touch of a hand.” And even if, unfortunately, we have to say home because of the bad weather, well at least we can all enjoy the summer season of K-Pop. June, July and August’s comebacks are always coming with an energetic vibe and a tad of something, something sweet and young.
We are also going to celebrate quite many birthdays and anniversaries including some big names.
ARMYs must be waiting for June 13, as BTS is going to celebrate their anniversary on that day. As BTS has become a gold phenomenon, we are curious to see how big the celebration is going to be.
Another boy group, INFINITE is going to celebrate theirs on the ninth of June.
Meanwhile, veteran girl group MAMAMMO and rookie girl group Weeekly are also going to welcome their debut anniversaries on the 19th and 30th respectively.
For birthdays, fromis_9’s Lee Nagyung is going to start the month for us on the first of June, and LOONA’s Choerry, ITZY’s Chaeryeong and NCT’s Haechan are going to celebrate their birthdays during the first weekend of June. In the second week, we have ONEUS’s Seoho, NU’EST’s JR and SEVENTEEN’s Jun birthdays.
And then on the fourteenth, ONCEs are going to celebrate TWICE’s Tzuyu’s birthday. Then CARATs will celebrate the birthday of Hoshi, another member of SEVENTEEN on the fifteenth.
After a successful comeback, Oh My Girl’s Arin is going to share the joy of her birthday with Miracles of June 18, while MONSTA X’s Shownu is also having his birthday on the same day. NiziU’s Ayaka would celebrate hers 2 days later.
As we are approaching the end of June, veteran Super Junior’s Ryeweeok and rookie ENHYPEN’s Sunoo are going to celebrate their birthdays on the 21st and 24 respectively. ONEUS’ Keonhee is going to have his birthday on 27th, a day after OENUS’s 900 Days. SNSD’s Seohyun will have her turn a day after Keonhee.
