93rd Charity Angel – NewJeans
NewJeans is Charity Angel of June 2023, with topping CHOEAEDOL’s 30-days cumulative chart. Congratulations to NewJeans and Bunnies!
Bunnies helped NewJeans won Charity Angel for the first time with 2990 points.
Subsequently, CHOEAEDOL is going to make a ₩500k donation to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities, in the name of NewJeans. From May to July, the donation is going to be used for Ukrainian refugees. Since this August, the donation is going to be used for Myanmar students whose education system collapsed in a military coup last year. From this September, the donation is used for vulnerable groups and handicapped child in South Korea.
NewJeans achieved the Charity Angel for the first time, special thanks to Bunnies. But this is not something that it can take for granted. Without continuous and passionate support from Bunnies, this would not happen. However, becoming a Charity Angel is no mean feat. Charity Angel is always a tight one and it is no way to be complacent. NewJeans held onto the first place in the last 30 days with 2979 points, with TWICE trailing behind in second place with 2978 points. BLACKPINK came third in 2940 points. DREAMCATCHER has come back to fourth with 2887 points. Finally, we had SECRET NUMBER in fifth place with 2855 points.

First Charity Angel
NewJeans will hold its first fan meet and greet “Bunnies Camp, ” on July 1 and 2. While various objects were spread on the poster, New Jeans and Bernie’s letters entered here and there, arousing curiosity. In particular, the phrase “The friendship between New Jeans and Bunnies is eternal” stimulated fans’ excitement.
Hybe successfully wrapped up its two-day K-pop festival, the 2023 Weverse Con Festival, over the weekend. NewJeans performed at the Weverse Con Festival which extends from Hybe’s annual joint-label concert that started in 2021.

Okay. What is Charity Angel?
Every day, after the voting time (until 23:30 KST), the rankings are arranged and the person who became the first in the daily rankings gets 100 points, and the second gets 99points, 98 for the third, and so on. All these points are accumulated for 30 days until the 10th of every month, the day before the Individual Charity Angel announcement. The person who gets the most votes becomes the Charity Angel of that month. When Charity Angels are settled and announced every 11th of the month (for the individual idols, for groups it’s 16th), 500k KRW is donated to charity organizations. In a few days, Charity Angel for the groups will be announced
New reward for the winner of charity angel from 2021
Starting from January 2021, Charity Angel rewards will be added~ No only donating to charities in the name of the winner, we will also hang a subway billboard for the Charity angels! For instance, this is the subway billboard ad of our May Charity angel.
