177th Charity Fairy – Jennie
Congratulations Jennie of BLACKPINK for becoming CHOEAEDOL’s 177th Charity Fairy on her 9300 days, as BLINKs helped Jennie topping our daily charts on that special occasion. On July 2, BLINKs voted Jennie with hearts they gained on CHOEAEDOL, and allow Jennie to come first on that way with 56,967,419 votes. Since it passed our threshold of 55,555,555, in Jennie’s name, we are going to donate ₩500(USD 440) to the MIRAL Welfare Foundation, a Korean charity that comprehensively handles problems related to disabilities that may be revealed in a wide range of the social spectrum, including physical and mental disabilities. This is Jeenie’s 5th time becoming CHOEAEDOL’s Charity Fairy. We would like to thank all the BLINKs and fans who are supporting Jennie all the time, and we hope there is more to come.

According to an exclusive report from Korean media, The Daily Sports, last Friday, Jennie and Rosé are currently in Los Angeles, as local fans have seen them shopping, freely, there.
Later, an official from YG Entertainment told Top Star News that Jennie and Rosé are, indeed, in the US.
It has stirred up the curiosity of BLINKs, as fans are guessing whether they are working on any new project, especially any new collaboration with other artists.
Previously, BLACKPINK has collaborated with well-known pop artists such as Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Cardi B.
In other news, Jennie’s solo release SOLO has become the most-streamed song among Korean solo artists on Spotify.
According to YG Entertainment and Spotify, Jennie’s song has been streamed more than 300 million times and, by surpassing Psy’s Gangnam Style, become the most-streamed song among all Korean soloists.
Jennie was the first BLACKPINK member who debuted solo. She released the song SOLO in November 2018. It is about to be not bounded by sorrow even after a breakup. The song has been praised for its direct and honest lyrics.
So, what is Charity Fairy? and what is with the donation?
The title of Charity Fairy is given to the idol who received over 55,555,555 daily votes in CHOEAEDOL app during the whole month. Only the idols who have anniversaries (e.g. birthday, comeback and debut anniversary) during the month could challenge for the Charity Fairy title.
To honour the Charity Fairies, we donate 500k KRW in the name of the Charity Fairies. You will see the Donation Certificate within 2-3 weeks of the announcement on our Twitter.
